Thrift on Rock
DESCRIPTIONEven in the autumn there is colour to light up the greyest day. The brown, crisp bracken edges the worn trails of the South West Coast Path, leading down to huge grey slabs of rock. Sitting on these rocks below Acton Castle, I sketched the thrift which thrives in the salty environment there, adding a splash of pink and ochre to shine through the drizzle.
