‘Tis the season…

…for craft fairs!

There was a lovely atmosphere at Tennants Garden Rooms, Leyburn. Although I have held many exhibitions in the past, this was my first craft fair. Over the weekend, I had some very interesting conversations with fellow artists and lovely customers. I can’t wait until the next one! There are still lots of small paintings and textile products for sale in my Etsy shop and I send them gift wrapped at no extra charge.

A great time was had by all at the Garden Rooms, Leyburn. Here is a photo of me before opening.

A week in Perranuthnoe

Our first time holidaying in this region and I’m smitten. The beach is a three minute walk from our cottage and it’s fair to say the hours have just flown by that I have spent sketching on the rocks. Inspiration is all around me in the form of wild birds and flowers, crashing waves, surfers, moody skies contrasted with turquoise crystal waters in this ever changing scenery.

Here I am using a sumi stick and some rockpool water to capture the moment. Carrying tiny art materials enables me to access ‘sketch-worthy’ perches!
